How it works
Kybella’s Deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body, aids to break down the absorption of dietary fat. When you receive a Kybella injection beneath the chin, it destroys fat cells and disables them from accumulating or storing fat. Fat cleared from the treatment area is then processed through your own natural metabolic mechanisms.
What to expect

Your Kybella double chin treatment will be tailored to you. You’ll come by our office for a series of injections that will take about 15-20 minutes each. The number of visits needed as well as spacing of the series will vary by your personal goals as well as the amount of submental fat. However, up to 6 treatments may be administered (spaced no less than one month apart).
Safety Information
For most patients, swelling occurs after the first treatment session. You should be able to resume normal daily activities but should keep your social and work commitments in mind when scheduling your treatment.
