eMatrix Sublative™ Rejuvenation
Don’t let skin imperfections impact your self-confidence! Get to the root of the problem to love the way your skin looks and feels!
eMatrix Sublative™ radio frequency (RF) rejuvenation goes deep to treat fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, acne scarring and textural irregularities (including stretch marks).
Unlike traditional skin resurfacing lasers, eMatrix Matrix Sublative™ Therapy leaves the outermost layer of skin (epidermis) largely intact. Not only does this minimize risk of pigmentation changes, making the treatment suitable for both light and dark skin tones, but it also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin from the inside out resulting in less discomfort and a shorter recovery time than ablative C02 and erbium laser alternatives.

FAB Science
-
- eMatrix Sublative™ works differently, it is neither laser nor light-based. Instead, fractionated bi-polar radio frequency (RF), precisely directed to the skin in the form of a matrix.
- Unlike laser light-based corrective treatments, eMatrix Sublative® can be used on both light and dark skin tones.Healthy skin around the matrix dots accelerates the healing process. Post treatment, new collagen and healthy skin cells are produced, reducing acne scars, wrinkles and superficial skin discolorations creating a smoother skin texture.
- eMatrix Sublative™ lies somewhere in-between ablative and non-ablative laser treatments to deliver the best results, delivering effective energy deep into the skin, while causing minimal epidermal disruption and poses less risk of hyperpigmentation compared to traditional laser skin resurfacing treatments.
Clinical Results – Before and After Photos
The Sublative™ RF applicator is designed to deliver radiofrequency energy to the skin in a fractional manner, via an array of multi-electrode pins. The array delivers bipolar RF energy to the skin. Microscopic zones of epidermis and dermis are thermally ablated in a grid over the skin surface, where non-ablated zones serve as a reservoir of cells that promote rapid healing.
FAQ
What is eMatrix Sublative™ therapy?
eMatrix™ is an FDA approved non-invasive fractional skin resurfacing treatment that rejuvenates and improves texture and appearance of the skin from the inside out through the use of radiofrequency (RF) technology.
How does eMatrix Sublative™ therapy work?
RF energy is delivered in a fractional pattern into the skin’s deep layers via handheld device. Unlike traditional laser resurfacing treatments, eMatrix does not cause significant damage to the epidermis (outermost layer). Instead, it creates micro-injuries that trigger the body’s natural healing response. New collagen and elastin fibers are produced that contribute to firmness, elasticity, and a more youthful appearance. The healing process is accelerated by the healthy skin around the dot matrix.
Is eMatrix Sublative™ right for me?
If you have concerns about acne scarring, textural irregularities, skin laxity, fine lines, mild to moderate wrinkles, or if you’re seeking overall skin rejuvenation then eMatrix Sublative™ is likely a good choice for you. eMatrix can be used safely on both light and dark skin tones, unlike many lasers which are inappropriate for darker skin tones
Why is eMatrix Sublative™ safer than laser for darker skin tones?
The eMatrix™ Sublative Rejuvenation treatment reduces the risk of post-treatment hyperpigmentation to a mere fraction of the risks posed by laser, because the RF energy is not absorbed by the pigment-producing cells and because the RF energy used largely bypasses the top layer of skin (epidermis) and instead targets a deeper layer of skin (dermis).
Will my eMatrix Sublative™ treatment be painful?
Topical anesthetic ointment is often used to reduce discomfort during treatment. During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters their skin which is tolerable.
Does eMatrix Sublative™ help fade stretch marks?
Stretch marks occur when the skin is stretched too quickly, causing disruption to the production of collagen. Because eMatrix™ encourages collagen growth, it may help fade the appearance of stretch marks.
How long does a typical treatment session last?
Treatment duration depends on a variety of factors including the size of the treated area and the concern being addressed. Sessions typically range from 15 – 45 minutes.
How many treatments will I need to achieve optimal results?
Depending on the condition being treated; 3 to 5 treatments are often recommended, allowing four to six weeks between each treatment.
What can I expect after eMatrix Sublative™ treatment?
After eMatrix Sublative™ treatment, a pink or red “sunburn” appearance and feeling is common for several hours. Redness and mild swelling in the treated area may persist for two to three days. After approximately one to three days, small pinpoint crusts will appear in treatment areas which will exfoliate naturally. Mild roughness and a grid pattern may persist for 2 to 7 days. Downtime is generally shorter compared to more aggressive laser treatments. Make-up can be applied after the first 48 hours.
When can I expect to see results?
Results may become noticeable within a few weeks after the initial treatment. Optimal results usually become apparent within a few months of completing the recommended treatment series and skin remodeling with improved results will continue for approximately 3-5 months.
Are there side effects or risks?
Common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, and mild discomfort. In some rare cases, patients might experience minor bruising or changes in skin pigmentation. Following post-treatment care instructions and attending follow-up appointments minimizes risks. Clients with a pacemaker, an internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant anywhere in the body may not receive any eMatrix treatments due to potential interactions between the RF energy and the functioning of the implanted device.
How should I prepare for my eMatrix Sublative™ treatment?
Prior to eMatrix Sublative™ treatment, avoid using alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy products (AHA/BHA), Hydroquinone and retinoids for 7 days. It is recommended that Accutane, or similar products, be discontinued for 6 months prior to eMatrix Sublative™ treatment. Avoid sun exposure to any area that will be treated 7 days prior to treatment. Avoid chemical peels, laser hair removal or skin resurfacing treatments on any areas that will be treated for a minimum of two weeks before treatment or until complete healing has occurred. Clients who have had Botox or dermal fillers in the area should wait 14 days before eMatrix Sublative™ treatments. If you are prone to cold sores, let us know and an antiviral medication may be prescribed prior to treatment.
Can eMatrix Sublative™ Therapy be combined with other treatments?
Treatment duration depends on a variety of factors including the size of the treated area and the concern being addressed. Sessions typically range from 15 – 45 minutes.
How many treatments will I need to achieve optimal results?
eMatrix Sublative™ can be combined with other skin-rejuvenation treatments over time, such as HydraFacial MD, IPL Photo facial, chemical peels, and injectables to achieve comprehensive rejuvenation. We may discuss the suitability of combination treatments during your consultation.
